Coming from the north: Approaching Coffs
Harbour from the north you pass the Pacific Bay Resort on your left,
then the Big Banana on your right. Continue on the Pacific Highway through
7 sets of traffic lights. Look for the Big Windmill on your right. Note
that you will have to turn right at the 8th set of traffic lights, then
U-turn and turn left to access the Motor Lodge due to a median strip.

Coming from the south: The southernmost
entrance of Coffs Harbour is marked by a roundabout with a Bunnings
Hardware store on the left. Go straight on at this roundabout (continuing
on Pacific Highway) and drive through a set of traffic lights at the
Hospital, then through 2 more sets of lights. You will see the Big Windmill
ahead on the left. Prepare to turn left immediately in front of the
Windmill.

Getting to Coffs Harbour

Travelling by air: Coffs Harbour Airport has been
substantially upgraded in terms of facilities and security in recent years. Flights from Sydney can be found at Virginblue.com.au and Qantas.com.au. Flights from Brisbane can be found at Brindabellaairlines.com.au.
Coffs Harbour Airport is 3kms east of The Big Windmill. Arrange in advance to be met at the airport. Car hire is also available
at the airport.
Travelling by car: Coffs Harbour is approximately halfway between
Sydney and Brisbane. Most people access the area via the Pacific Highway
which has been substantially improved in the last few years. Driving
time between Coffs and Sydney is between 6.25 hours and 7 hours depending
on breaks (driver
reviver stops). The drive time between Brisbane and Coffs Harbour
is 5 hours.
Travelling by train and bus: Countrylink's
XPT service departs Sydney Central at 7:05am, 11:35am, and 4:24pm each
day, arriving at Coffs Train Station (3kms from The Big Windmill) at
3:05pm, 7:46pm and 12:24am respectively. Premier, Greyhound and McCafferty's buses depart Sydney for Coffs at 7:00am, 12:30pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm and
10:30pm daily. The bus drop off is just 1km from the Motor Lodge. A
complimentary pick-up service is available from both train and bus stops.
Getting around town: The Big Windmill is a 2km walk or cycle
to town and many cafés, eateries, shops, a fully equipped gym
(Harbour
Health Club), a 50m swimming pool, a 27 hole golf course, car repairers,
medical services and much more. Taxis can be arranged at reception.
